Traffic Issues in Delhi

It is unquestionable that today most of the urban cities face traffic issues and it’s not an issue of a day or two, this is something people in Delhi go through every day. In the morning time between 7:00 AM -11:00 AM the roads are so busy that it’s next to impossible to reach on time and we already know that our boss or teachers will never listen to this crap that there was a jam or something. For them it’s just an excuse. Now, the question comes that why is this city facing these problems. Now, the first reason is lot of cars on road. Every family in this city have their own car and in some families each member of the family have a car of their own. Now, in the morning if each person of this city is going to their workplace or somewhere else they’re going by their own vehicle. People don’t use public transport. I mean they never prefer one.  Now, you’ll say that metros are always crowded so where is that coming from? Well, metro doesn’t go everywhere and its fare have been increased giving people a second thought that why can’t go by your own car then going by metro. Now, the only public transport left is “buses”, which are never on time and if they are those buses are so overcrowded that we can’t even think of getting in. There’s a shortage of buses in Delhi plus the buses that are already in use are also not well maintained. The so-called AC buses are so less on roads that they’re hardly to be seen. We’re still using those old CNG buses whose condition is worse than anything else. Sometimes, buses even stop working in between which is also a reason people never prefer to travel by a bus. One thing that has happened good is carpooling. It helps a lot to travel at an affordable price but, still there’s so much traffic on roads and it bothers a lot especially, in peak hours. Metro projects of South Delhi that were expected to be completed 3 years back are still in progress and it’s a huge reason for traffic. It’s understood that once metro will start there will be comparatively less traffic on roads. But, it’s important to finish it on time now and it is necessary to increase the number of buses and maintain them in a good way so that people won’t hesitate in travelling from public transport. Our government should look into this matter after all it’s the capital and it is our responsibility to make it a beautiful city. Whenever we talk to tourists about their feedback on their visit they always say that traffic is a huge problem. Some have said that “how do you guys drive here? It’s insane.” So, let’s try and make it a good place for the people in our city plus people visiting here. Government will take their actions but, being a responsible citizen always try to travel through public transport or carpooling. Lesser the cars on the roads, lesser the traffic.

 But the question that comes is, how to overcome this. I understand you must be thinking that how can a whole negative thing can be resolved with positive activities but, trust me if you’ll try to get over it yes,it is possible. I know because I’ve seen people doing it.
So, these are the ways to overcome your betrayal:
  • Try confronting your betrayal
  • Start thinking positive about everything in every possible way
  • Start putting your energy on what you always wanted to achieve in life
  • Divert your mind in stuff that you like doing
  • Always remember what goes around comes around
  • Embrace your betrayal

You already know that you’ve been betrayed and to sit and cry about it is definitely not an option. Don’t let it spoil you and your life. Take it in a positive way. Now you know how fake people act like. You’ve got a lesson for life and remember, not to make the same mistake again.

 

Body Shaming

Body Shaming: The action or practice of humiliating someone by making mocking or critical comments about their body shape or size.

Surviving in our judgemental society is becoming difficult day by day. While everyone is trying to “fit in”  here, some people fail to do so.  It’s obvious that each and every person is different and it’s completely foolish to compare an individual with someone else. Commenting on someone’s body shape or size is totally unacceptable. Yes, you can say whatever you want to it’s a democratic country but you have brains I guess. Just think before doing or saying something extremely displeasing . It doesn’t matter to the one who is judging but, it is killing the other person. He/she is going to suffer a lot because of your one judgemental comment on the way how they look and you have no right to hurt a person from inside giving them a reason to hate themselves. Body shaming is something that can lead to self hate and which further can cause depression. See? by your one comment on his/her appearance you’re making them weak from inside he/she is lacking confidence and is thinking that they are good for nothing. It is more disappointing when someone you care about or some you love the most is also doing the same and leaves you because of this particular reason. This is the point when people start hating themselves and then it leads to depression.

But, in the end you know who you are. Be with people who understand you and are not judging you for some stupid reason like you’re too thin or too fat. Who love you for the way you are. Learn to love your body. We can’t change everyone’s thinking so, it’s better to not to pay attention towards negativity and go on with your life. Just understand the fact that you’re perfect the way you are and at last the point is that “You’re damned if you’re too thin and you’re damned if you’re too heavy. It’s impossible to satisfy this society and I personally suggest that we should stop trying.”-Jennifer Aniston

Depression: A feeling of drowning while everyone is breathing

What is Depression?

 We all feel sad, moody or low from time to time because it’s human nature but, some people feel the same for a longer period of time. They’re always in a bad mood, always criticizing themselves. They don’t even feel like talking to people and just want to live alone and all of this is without any valid reason. they have no idea about what’s happening to them.

People say depression is just a mood. Well, it’s not. It is definitely more than that. This is something which can cause severe mental and physical health problems.

Causes

Now the question that arises in everyone’s mind is what is the cause of it. What happened that a person is going through depression. So, the major reason is Life Events. Whatever is going around him/her. From there we can find out where is the problem coming from. Is it because of their parents or is it something related to where they go every day or they just had an emotional breakdown. Other reasons can be personal factors. Some people have this kind of personality like they worry a lot about everything and some are drugs and alcohol addicts.

Remember, every person is different and sometimes there can be more than one reason of why a person is depressed. It’s important to see what are the symptoms of it.

Symptoms

It’s important to remember that every individual face these symptoms time to time and that doesn’t mean they’re depressed. Equally, not everyone having depression will face all symptoms.

Now the signs or symptoms can be:

Change in Behaviour

  • Not feeling like going out anymore
  • Don’t feel like talking to anyone around
  • Addictive o Drugs/Alcohol
  • Feeling alone every time

Feelings

  • Guilty
  • Irritated all the time
  • Lack in confidence
  • Disappointed with one self and others

Negative Thinking

  • I fail everytime
  • It’s all my fault.
  • Nothing good ever happens to me.
  • I’m good for nothing
  • I don’t look good

Changes in Body

  • Feeling sick and tired all the time
  • Insomnia
  • Significant weight loss/gain

If you think that you or someone you know is facing these problems and is going through such a bad phase then it’s time to recover from it. There’s no proven way to recover from depression. No, it’s not disease and no, you’re not mad. It’s just a state of mind and that is occurring because you’re just scared to share about what you feel to anyone. It’s not easy to find someone who understands you well. If you don’t want to consult a doctor then you can always talk to people around you. Talk to your friends if not friends then you family member. Cry out our feeling don’t hide them. No one’s judging you and is better to get out of it now before it’s too late. If nothing helps consult a psychiatrist. At least try to get over it. For yourself, for your family who don’t even know what is happening to their child. Everyone come across bad phases in their lives but it’s better to not think about it anymore and move on. If you find anyone who is depressed then please help that person to get out of it. It’s a state that kills them from inside. Do it for yourself. You owe yourself the love you deserve. Lean to love yourself. Everything will go well.

The Slumping Content of Hindi TV Series

I remember there was a time when we used to sit in front of our TV and mom used to watch her “SAAS BHI KABHI BAHU THI.” At that time no one was even allowed to touch the TV remote. But now, things have changed. I asked my mom today that why are you not interested in series like these now. Her answer was there’s no content left.

What I want to convey here is that now people are becoming more sensible and are seeking for a good story to what they can relate. But whenever I switch on the TV all I see is NAAGINS, GHOSTS and a story which can never happen in real life. Digital Media is a very huge platform to showcase something good and inspiring. Sadly, it’s disheartening to see such a useless content on the same. People who watch these serials get wrong influence in their lives and they end up doing something they should not do. Teenagers watch this stuff and take wrong steps in life. As I said it’s a huge platform so it’s their duty to showcase a storyline to which they can put themselves and see the real world. Not those ghosts who we know don’t exist and are still airing this stupidity on Indian Television. People say that younger generation prefer to watch English TV series rather than Hindi. Well, it’s not their fault. They actually have better content and storyline. Why would anyone compromise on the quality of what they’re watching? Nowadays people are smart enough to know what’s good and what’s bad for them.

It’s high time that Hindi Television should make some changes in their way of working and showing good stuff. It’s okay that people want entertainment but’ there’s no harm in showing people something from which they can learn and are not misguided. It needs to come out from that SAAS-BAHU old crap and give us something original.
